The magazine EH&I publishes their list of favorite Dutch designers each year, since they started it in 2012. The list is not based on intuitive popularity, but as EH&I itself says: “on extensive research. The result is a sum of measurable data: awards, nominations, work in museum collections, number of permanent employees, advertising, exhibitions and presentations. The opinion of experts, critics and curators in design is the second pillar of the ranking, certainly not an insignificant factor.”
